About the coffee

All the details you need to know

About the farm

This coffee comes from Huehuetenango, one of Guatemala’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions. Produced by a network of smallholder farmers, the lot brings together coffees grown across the region’s diverse mountains and valleys at elevations between 1,400 and 2,200 metres.

The name Waykan means “star” or “light” in the Maya Q’anjob’al language — a fitting reflection of the region’s bright character and long coffee-growing tradition.

Caramel Glow is produced by a community of experienced coffee farmers who cultivate small plots throughout the mountains of Huehuetenango.

Working at high elevations and often on steep terrain, these producers combine traditional farming knowledge with generations of experience to create coffees known for their sweetness, balance and consistency.

Variety & Processing

This lot is composed of several classic varieties commonly grown throughout Huehuetenango, including Bourbon, Caturra, Catimor, Maragogype and Pache.

Together, these varieties contribute sweetness, structure and the gentle fruit character that makes the region’s coffees so distinctive.

After harvest, the coffee cherries are carefully depulped, fermented and washed before drying.

This traditional washed process highlights clarity, sweetness and balance, allowing the character of the varieties and the terroir to shine through. The result is a clean, structured cup with excellent sweetness and a smooth finish.

In the cup

Caramel Glow opens with rich notes of panela and dark chocolate, followed by raisin sweetness and hints of cooked citrus. The body is smooth and rounded, supported by a mellow acidity that brings balance without sharpness. Sweet, comforting and beautifully approachable, it is a coffee designed for everyday enjoyment.
