Why this coffee?

Wild Raspberry is everything we love about exceptional Ethiopian naturals — vibrant fruit, delicate florals, and remarkable clarity. Behind those wild raspberry notes is a coffee that feels refined and expressive rather than overwhelming.

We were particularly drawn to the traceability of this lot. Knowing exactly who produced the coffee, and being able to connect it to Mr. Girum Girma’s farm in Guji, makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s a coffee that reminds us why Ethiopia continues to inspire coffee lovers around the world.

About the coffee

All the details you need to know

About the farm

Mr. Girum Girma owns and operates a 12-hectare coffee farm near Haro Wachu in Ethiopia’s Guji region. Coffee is the heart of the family’s livelihood, with Mr. Girum and his family working together throughout the growing and harvest seasons. His farm is one of the larger holdings in the area and is part of the Single Farmer Project, which highlights fully traceable Ethiopian coffees.

Variety & Processing

This lot is composed of traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties, a diverse group of native cultivars that have evolved over generations in Ethiopia’s coffee-growing regions. These heirloom varieties are renowned for producing some of the world’s most complex and aromatic coffees, often combining floral notes, vibrant fruit character and remarkable sweetness. The coffee is naturally processed, meaning the cherries are carefully sorted and dried whole on raised beds before the fruit is removed. During drying, the cherries are turned regularly to ensure even fermentation and consistent quality. This traditional Ethiopian method enhances sweetness and fruit complexity, resulting in notes of raspberry, raisin, dark chocolate and jammy red fruit, supported by juicy acidity and a lingering sweetness.

In the cup

Expect a cup full of wild berries, delicate florals and silky sweetness. Raspberry and raisin lead the way, supported by dark chocolate and a touch of jammy red fruit. Bright, juicy acidity keeps everything vibrant and refreshing, while the finish remains smooth, sweet and beautifully balanced. It’s the kind of coffee that feels lively and expressive without ever becoming overwhelming.
