About the coffee

All the details you need to know

About the farm

This coffee comes from the Serra Negra region in Minas Gerais, Brazil — one of the country’s most respected coffee-growing areas. The region’s warm climate, rolling hills and rich soils create ideal conditions for producing coffees known for their sweetness, body and consistency.

Rather than highlighting a single farm, this lot represents the collective work of growers across the region who share a commitment to quality and careful cultivation.

Nutty Hug is produced by a network of experienced coffee farmers in Minas Gerais. Working across generations, these producers cultivate traditional Brazilian varieties and focus on creating coffees that are balanced, sweet and dependable.
Their expertise and consistency are what make coffees like this a cornerstone of specialty coffee around the world.

Variety & Processing

This lot is composed of several classic Brazilian varieties, including Bourbon, Catuai and related cultivars commonly grown throughout Minas Gerais.

These varieties are valued for their sweetness, low acidity and ability to produce rich, chocolatey cups with excellent body.
After harvest, the coffee cherries are dried whole under the Brazilian sun. During this natural process, the fruit remains around the seed, allowing sugars to develop slowly and contribute to the coffee’s sweetness and body.

The result is a cup with a smooth texture, gentle fruit character and comforting chocolate and nut notes.

In the cup

Nutty Hug delivers flavours of roasted almond, milk chocolate and mild cocoa, supported by a full, rounded body and a soft citrus brightness. Sweet, balanced and reassuring, it’s the kind of coffee that feels familiar from the very first sip.
